Verification marks
What the marks next to a Krinio name mean, and what they do not.
Krinio shows two marks. Both state something specific and checkable. Neither is a judgement about a creator or their work.
The channel mark
A profile earns this mark automatically when it presents itself exactly as its connected YouTube channel does, with the same handle and the same name. It is recalculated every time the profile loads, so it disappears on its own if the creator renames their channel, changes their Krinio name, or disconnects the channel.
What it does not mean: nobody has reviewed whether the channel behind it resembles a larger creator. A small channel can carry this mark. Open the mark, or the channel link on the profile, to see exactly which channel it refers to and how large that channel is.
The reviewed mark
A person at Krinio compared the profile against the creator it appears to represent and confirmed it is not a lookalike. Creators with a paid membership can request this review. Buying a membership does not grant the mark, and a request can be refused.
Because it rests on facts that can change, the reviewed mark steps down if a profile stops matching its connected channel. Renaming a channel means asking for another review.
No mark
Most profiles carry no mark, and that is not a warning. A creator who uses a different name on Krinio than on YouTube, or who has not connected a channel at all, simply does not meet the automatic condition.
How creator names are protected
Usernames and display names are checked against a list of well-known creators when an account is created. A name on that list can only be taken by the person who has connected the matching channel.
