Terms of Service
Effective and last updated: 25 September 2026
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Davide Maiolo, sole proprietor, Kirchbühlstrasse 37a, 8712 Stäfa, Switzerland, operating Krinio. They apply when you access krinio.com, create an account, publish or support an idea, submit community feedback, or use any other Krinio service. If you do not agree, do not use Krinio.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement. You must provide accurate information, keep it current, protect your login credentials, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may not impersonate another person, create accounts to evade restrictions, sell or transfer an account, or use automated account creation without our written permission.
2. Krinio's Role
Krinio provides tools for creators to present content ideas, for members to signal demand through voluntary Support payments, and for the community to share product feedback. Creators independently control their ideas, production decisions, statements, and delivery. Unless Krinio expressly says otherwise at checkout, Krinio is not the creator, publisher, seller, or guarantor of a creator's planned content and is not a party to any separate arrangement between a creator and a supporter.
3. Ideas and Support Payments
A Support payment is a voluntary, usually one-time payment that signals interest in a creator's idea. It is not an investment, loan, deposit, purchase of ownership, commission, or promise of financial return. Funding goals are approximate demand and planning signals. They are not conditions for payment, delivery, or an automatic refund unless the checkout clearly states otherwise. A creator may produce an idea before its goal, after its goal, or decide not to produce it. A member may suggest content to a creator whose Stripe payout account is active by making an initial Support payment of at least USD 10. That initial payment is voluntary Support to the creator, not a fee for placing the suggestion and not an order for content. The suggestion becomes public immediately after successful payment, has no funding goal, and normally remains open for additional Support for 14 days. The creator does not approve or decline the suggestion and is not required to produce it. Supporting an idea does not guarantee production, publication by a certain date, or a result that matches a supporter's expectations. Review the idea details and creator profile before paying.
4. Fees, Payments, Refunds, and Payouts
Stripe processes each Support payment as a direct charge on the creator's connected account and handles creator payouts under its own terms. The total amount charged and any applicable Krinio fee, payment processing fee, tax, currency conversion, or other charge will be shown or explained before confirmation where required. Creators authorize applicable fees, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, taxes, and corrections to be deducted from amounts due to them. Support payments are generally final. A supporter may email support@krinio.com within 30 calendar days of payment to request discretionary review of an accidentally incorrect amount, duplicate payment, unrecognized or unauthorized transaction, technical error, or another exceptional circumstance. The creator can issue a refund through Stripe, and Krinio can initiate one on the connected account where appropriate, but neither review nor initiation guarantees a refund. Unless mandatory law or a payment-network rule requires otherwise, a discretionary refund is normally limited to the amount the creator retained after non-returned Stripe processing or currency fees and Krinio's application fee, so it may be partial. Funding-goal results, delay, creator non-delivery, or a change of mind alone do not create an automatic refund. Mandatory consumer, unauthorized-payment, and payment-network rights remain unaffected. Creators are responsible for payout eligibility, accurate Stripe information, taxes, invoices, and reporting obligations. We may delay or withhold a payout where reasonably necessary for compliance, fraud prevention, disputes, or payment provider requirements.
4A. Creator Memberships and Lifetime Licenses
Creator memberships are digital services sold by Krinio on the platform account and are separate from Support payments sent to connected creators. Free has no recurring charge. Creator Plus and Creator Pro can be billed monthly or annually, with annual prices charged in full in advance for twelve months. A subscription renews automatically for the selected period until cancelled through the Stripe billing portal and remains usable through the paid period after a cancellation. Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, cancellation does not create a prorated refund. Ambassador lifetime licenses are limited, non-transferable, one-time purchases that provide the current Creator Pro benefits while the membership remains active, subject to these Terms. Features with material per-use third-party costs may be excluded from lifetime access or offered on separate terms. A full refund, chargeback, fraud, account termination for cause, or serious breach can revoke the related membership, fee benefit, and avatar border. The reduced 4% Krinio platform fee applies only while an eligible Creator Pro or lifetime membership is active. Creator Spotlight inclusion is a pool entry, not a promise of selection, reach, homepage placement, or social promotion. A paid member may request a manually reviewed verification mark, but payment neither guarantees approval nor changes what the mark means. Purchase requires a ready Stripe Connect account in a Krinio supported country and is rechecked before checkout. Displayed consumer prices include applicable VAT. Business tax treatment, including any lawful reverse charge, depends on adequate billing and tax-ID evidence. Any mandatory withdrawal, refund, tax, and consumer rights shown at checkout remain unaffected. You can review your membership, billing period and renewal status in Settings under Membership & billing and open the Stripe billing portal there. Active Ambassador memberships display the same Krinio avatar border wherever the account avatar appears. This visible membership decoration is separate from identity verification. You can change between membership plans while a subscription is running. A change to a higher plan or to annual billing takes effect immediately, and Stripe invoices the prorated difference for the remainder of the current billing period at that time. A change to a lower plan or to monthly billing takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and it can be discarded in Settings at any point before that date. Purchasing an Ambassador lifetime license while a subscription is running cancels that subscription as soon as the payment is confirmed. Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, the remaining paid time on the cancelled subscription is not refunded and no credit is issued for it. Every plan change is subject to the eligibility checks above and takes effect only after Krinio receives a verified payment confirmation from Stripe. Membership prices use the currency available for your detected country and pass it to checkout. Unsupported countries, countries whose currency we do not offer, and unknown locations use USD. Prices are fixed separately per currency and are not converted at a live exchange rate. The selected currency determines neither residence nor tax treatment. Your card issuer may charge its own conversion fee when your card account uses a different currency.
5. Creator Responsibilities
Creators must have the rights, skills, permissions, and legal ability needed for each idea they publish. Idea descriptions, goals, timelines, and updates must be honest and not misleading. Creators remain responsible for deciding whether and how to complete an idea, communicating material changes, complying with advertising, consumer, tax, intellectual property, and other applicable laws, and handling obligations to their supporters. Repeated deception, misuse of funds, or failure to communicate may lead to restrictions or removal, but Krinio does not supervise or guarantee creator performance.
6. Your Content and License to Krinio
You retain ownership of content you submit, including ideas, profile material, completed-content links, and feedback. You represent that you have all rights needed to submit it. You grant Krinio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, format, translate, display, distribute, and technically adapt that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, promote, and improve Krinio. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for cached copies, legal records, content already shared with others, and anonymized records we may lawfully retain.
7. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You may not use Krinio for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually exploitative, violent, privacy-invasive, or intellectual-property-infringing activity. Adult content is not allowed on Krinio. You may not publish, link to, promote or request sexually explicit material, pornography, nudity or adult services, or collect Support payments for them. This applies to ideas, suggestions, profiles, avatars and published result links. Krinio removes such content and may suspend or close the account. You may not expose another person's confidential or personal data, manipulate votes or metrics, spam, coordinate fake engagement, misuse reports, scrape the service without permission, upload malware, bypass security or access controls, interfere with operation, reverse engineer protected parts of the service where prohibited, or use Krinio in a way that violates payment provider rules or sanctions and export-control laws. You may not present yourself as another creator, use another creator's name, handle, channel identity, or likeness without permission, or collect support payments in their name. Doing so can lead to immediate removal of the profile, a permanent ban, and legal action, and Krinio may report it to the payment provider and to law enforcement. See the Verification page for how Krinio marks confirmed creator identities.
8. Community Feedback, Reports, and Moderation
Feedback you submit may be visible to signed-in members together with your profile identity. Votes and reports are linked privately to member accounts, and one member may cast only one active vote per submission. Votes express community sentiment and do not create a right to implementation. Krinio may screen, review, label, approve, reject, hide, remove, edit the workflow status of, or merge duplicate submissions and transfer their votes. Automated language screening assists moderation but does not replace human judgment. We may notify the author about important moderation or workflow events. You may report inappropriate feedback or ideas with a selected reason and optional explanation. A creator may use the same report flow to request admin review and removal of a suggestion made to them. Removal or a report does not itself create a refund right for any processed Support payment. Reports are shared privately with the Krinio operator for moderation and must not be misused. Krinio has no general obligation to monitor every submission or idea.
9. Krinio Intellectual Property and Complaints
Krinio's software, visual design, logos, trademarks, and original platform content are owned by Krinio or its licensors and protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted. If you believe content on Krinio infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, email contact@krinio.com with your contact details, the protected work, the disputed content and location, the basis of your claim, and a good-faith statement that the information is accurate.
10. Third-Party Services
Krinio may link to or integrate services operated by others, including Stripe, Supabase, Google, YouTube, and social platforms. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of their services. We do not control their availability, decisions, content, or security. Connecting an external account authorizes the data exchange described at the time of connection and in our Privacy Policy. You must comply with the third party's rules and may disconnect where the feature allows. Krinio uses YouTube API Services. If you connect a YouTube channel, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google processes your data under the Google Privacy Policy. You can disconnect the channel at any time in Settings, which also revokes Krinio’s access at Google, or revoke that access on the Google security settings page.
11. Privacy and Service Notices
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data under the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where applicable, the GDPR. In-app and transactional notices about security, accounts, moderation, payments, payouts, and material service changes are part of the service and are not marketing. Keep your contact information current. Marketing messages, if introduced, will be subject to the choices and consent required by law.
12. Availability and Changes to the Service
Krinio is an evolving service and may include beta or early-access features. We may add, change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features, temporarily interrupt access for maintenance or security, and set reasonable usage limits. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular feature set, or permanent storage of content. Where reasonably possible, we will give advance notice of a material discontinuation that significantly affects active users.
13. Suspension, Termination, and Account Deletion
You may stop using Krinio at any time and may request account deletion at contact@krinio.com. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a breach, unlawful or harmful conduct, fraud or security risk, payment provider instruction, legal requirement, or material risk to Krinio or others. We will give notice and an opportunity to respond when reasonably possible, but may act immediately in urgent cases. Termination does not cancel accrued payment, tax, refund, chargeback, intellectual property, or legal obligations. Content and records are deleted, retained, or anonymized as described in our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
14. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Krinio is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose, or that creator, user, platform, funding, audience, calculator, or third-party information is complete or accurate. Krinio does not provide financial, tax, legal, investment, or professional advice. You are responsible for decisions you make based on platform content. Mandatory warranties and consumer rights remain unaffected.
15. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that rule and to the extent permitted by law, Krinio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity, creator non-performance, or third-party conduct. Krinio's total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of CHF 100 or the fees you paid directly to Krinio during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
16. Indemnity for Business Users
If you use Krinio for a business or professional purpose, you agree, to the extent permitted by law, to defend and indemnify Krinio against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your ideas or creator activity, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law or another person's rights, or taxes and obligations for which you are responsible. This section does not apply to consumers acting solely for private purposes.
17. Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms or the 30-day discretionary refund policy removes rights that applicable consumer or payment law does not allow you to waive. Before any paid Krinio service or Support payment, the checkout must provide the legally required information about the service, total price, payment, performance, duration, termination, and any applicable cancellation or withdrawal right. Any express consent needed for immediate performance or loss of a withdrawal right must be requested separately at checkout. The legal classification of a voluntary Support payment depends on the facts and applicable national law. If these Terms conflict with mandatory law in your country of habitual residence, that mandatory law prevails.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, safety, or business changes. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice through the service or the contact information associated with your account. Changes do not apply retroactively unless required by law. If you do not accept a material change, you must stop using the affected service before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance where permitted by law.
19. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The ordinary courts at the operator's registered location in the Canton of Zurich have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections under the law of your habitual residence, and you may bring or defend proceedings in any court available to you under mandatory consumer-jurisdiction rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
20. General Terms
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any additional terms shown for a specific feature form the agreement between you and Krinio for the service. If a specific term conflicts with these general Terms, the specific term controls for that feature. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective and the provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign this agreement without our consent. We may assign it as part of a reorganization, financing, or transfer of the service, subject to applicable law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
